ERIE ISLE is a mature roleplay sim set on a desolate and haunted island located off the southeastern coast of the United States. Once a bustling summer vacation spot for the middle class, Erie Isle lost it’s tourist charm to the ravages of hurricanes and polluted waters. Rents fell and vacationers stopped coming but the island was finally almost completely abandoned when Gaston P. Muircastle, the chairman of a large pharmaceutical company, murdered his wife and five children, and then killed himself in the mansion overlooking the highest spot on the island. Rumors quickly spread that the mansion, and indeed the entire island, was haunted. Eventually the town began a long slide into darkness and the few remaining inhabitants no longer bothered denying the rumors. In truth, they know their beloved island sits on a rift between the living and the dead, and often, the dead come out.

ERIE ISLE offers immersive roleplay with strong narratives that range from the frightening to the dramatic and contain elements of suspense, mystery, romance, combat and lust. Erie has a variety of settings, from underground tunnels and sewers, an open forest, slums, a jail, an old cathedral, and mysteries and quests are located in all of these areas. In short, there's something for everyone. Erie Isle has a dedicated and loyal base of players who come back every single day, but also offers classes for those unfamiliar with roleplay and Osiris/RPCS combat. Newcomers are absolutely welcomed at Erie Isle and free items such as disguises and weapons are available to get them started.

ERIE ISLE is a true community and a great place to meet friends in Second Life! Many of Erie Isle’s players have taken advantage of the inexpensive apartments and free furniture pack to make the island their home in SL. Events take place almost nightly and are hosted by the various factions that populate the island.
