What is the goal of this Program?
"Picks Booster" aims to boost the exposure and popularity of your business by establishing it as a "Pick" in SL resident profiles. Having your business listed in more profile "Picks" benefits you in two primary ways:
- It maximizes your business exposure by leveraging an important fact about profile picks. We know from our own experience and customer polls that many SL residents view their friends' picks in order to find new and interesting places to visit. Publishing your business information in hundreds of Picks will promote your business in a viral manner throughout a growing social network.
- SL's in-world search engine rating mechanisms are still a mystery for the overwhelming majority of business owners. Nevertheless, one thing is proven and certain: the more Picks in which your business is listed, the higher ranking you'll get in search results. Imagine your business showing up on the results in the top three companies in your industry! Higher search positions mean more visitors. This is how Search Engine Optimization (SEO) works in RL, by boosting the website search ranking in Google, Yahoo and other search engines.
How does the "Picks Booster" program work?
The Business Directory "Picks Booster" program works in the following way:
- You post your "Picks Booster" order here.
- We deliver your order to SL residents.
- Residents visit your business and add it to their Picks.
- From the moment they add it to their Picks, we control and ensure that your business will remain there for the duration of your order.
Guarantees and Statistics
- We guarantee that your business will be listed in the order-specified number of Picks for the indicated duration.
- We provide you the complete list of residents who have your business listed in their Picks. If you want to verify the statistics, simply login to Second Life and check the residents' Picks yourself.
- If some of the residents remove your business from their Picks before your order expires, we'll automatically add you to another resident's profile, so your order will remain fulfilled.
- To avoid residents from putting your business into a Bot's profile, we do not accept newbies (as their Picks seem to be not valuable for the SL Search Engine).
Pricing Structure
The current price is L$49 per profile. This means that if you want to list your business in 100 profiles, your total order price will be L$4,900.
This is actually a very effective use of your marketing dollars. Understand that each of these 100, 250, 500 or more residents will have to visit your business in order to add your location to their Picks. In addition, every resident has friends who will check his Picks. Finally, your resulting boost in search results position should increase your business exposure and visitor count!
Does It Really Works?
Yes! The new program "Picks Booster" has proved it's effectiveness: try searching the Second Life for "advertising" or "advertise":
The "E2L Business Directory" is the first item in the search results now. This business was the first business added to the "Picks Booster" program.
